Fair, Upfront Pricing Explained

How does your pricing work?

We look at the job first, then give you one fair price before any work starts. There's no hourly clock running and no call-out fee added on top. You agree the number, we do the job, and that's what lands on your invoice.

How do you decide what a fair price is for emergency work?

The price reflects the actual job, not the hour it happens to be. A burst pipe at midnight costs the same as one at midday under our Best Price Guaranteed. We price the work in front of us, not the clock on the wall.

What happens if the job turns out bigger than quoted?

If we open something up and find more going on, we stop and explain it before touching anything further. You get a new price for the extra work and decide whether to go ahead. Nothing extra happens without your say-so first.

Do you price jobs individually or off a rate card?

Every job gets looked at on its own merits, not pulled off a generic price list. Two blocked drains can need very different work, so we quote what's actually in front of us. That's how fair, upfront pricing stays fair.

Credentials and Compliance

Is my property covered while you're working?

Yes. Our licence covers water and gas plumbing alike, and insurance sits behind every job on site. That licence, #292427C, is checkable if you want to confirm it yourself before we start.

Does your warranty cover parts as well as labour?

The Lifetime Labour Warranty covers our workmanship, the actual work we do on the day. Parts and materials carry their own manufacturer warranty, which we'll point out at the time. Between the two, you're covered from more than one angle.

Do I need a licensed plumber for emergency repairs?

For anything involving water or gas plumbing, yes, NSW law requires a licensed plumber. It protects you as much as it protects the work. Our whole team carries the right licence for both trades, so one call covers it.

Do you provide compliance documentation after gas work?

Yes. Licensed gas work comes with the compliance paperwork you're entitled to once the job's finished, worth keeping with your home records. It's proof the work was done by an appropriately licensed tradesperson, not just done.

Booking a Callout

Can I book ahead instead of calling as an emergency?

Absolutely. Not every job is a flood-through-the-ceiling situation, and we're happy to schedule non-urgent repairs for a time that suits you, whether you use the callback form or call us directly. Same Day Service is there when you need it, not compulsory when you don't.

What's the fastest way to reach you in an emergency?

Call (02) 9138 6524 directly. We're open 24 hours, so a real person answers, day or night, rather than a queue. The callback form works too if you'd rather type it out, and we call you back fast, day or night.

Do you take calls on Christmas Day and other holidays?

Yes, we're open 24 hours every day of the year, holidays included. Burst pipes and gas leaks don't check the calendar, so neither do we. Call (02) 9138 6524 any time, any date.

Can I request a specific time window?

For booked, non-emergency work, yes, tell us what suits your day and we'll work around it where we can. For a genuine emergency, we treat it as urgent and get moving as soon as you call. Either way, we talk it through with you first.

Questions Specific to Croydon

How does Croydon's housing density affect emergency response?

Croydon mixes detached Federation homes with units and apartment blocks, especially the 1930s Art Deco stock near the station. Strata buildings can mean a shared hot water system or stack failure affects several households at once, which changes how urgently we need to move.

What's different about servicing Croydon compared to other suburbs?

Much of Croydon dates from before 1940, so the Malvern Hill Estate's Federation homes and California Bungalows still lean on original clay drainage and older gas fittings. That older infrastructure fails in different ways than newer suburbs, so we come prepared for it.

Are there any streets in Croydon known for recurring plumbing issues?

The tree-lined streets around the Malvern Hill Estate see regular root intrusion into old earthenware drains, a direct result of mature street trees planted alongside century-old clay pipework. It's less about one particular street and more about the era the homes were built in.

How often should older Croydon homes get their plumbing checked?

With housing stock this old, an annual check catches small problems, like a joint starting to move in reactive clay soil, before they become an emergency callout. Autumn is worth an extra look too, since falling leaves from the heritage streetscape tend to block gutters and drains.
